Caring for Fine Jewelry
Inspocco jewelry is handcrafted with some of the finest and most delicate materials in the world. To maintain the appearance of your beautiful piece, we have gathered valuable product care suggestions for you.
Colored gemstones, pearls, and precious metals such as gold can be very sensitive to the particles in cosmetics, perfumes, hair products, lotions, and soaps. It is recommended to remove all jewelry before the application or use of such products. Additionally, these materials are very susceptible to heat and chemicals. Please avoid prolonged exposure to heat and avoid contact with chemicals.
After each time wearing the piece, gently wipe it with a lint-free cloth to remove oils. It is not recommended to shower or swim while wearing fine jewelry.
Correct Storage
Fine jewelry deserves the utmost care. It is recommended to keep gemstone jewelry in a separate compartment of a jewelry box or in individual cloth pouches to prevent pieces from scratching one another. Diamonds, being the hardest of all gems, should be stored separately to avoid scratching other materials.
Cleaning Gems and Gold
Except for Victorian-set pieces (see instructions below) that cannot tolerate water, most gemstones are easily cleaned by soaking them in a simple solution of water and gentle soap. If your piece is especially dirty, scrub gently with an extremely soft baby toothbrush.
Caring for Victorian-Set Jewelry
Victorian-set fine jewelry requires special attention to ensure it maintains its beauty and integrity over time. These pieces are typically more delicate and can be more susceptible to damage from moisture, chemicals, and abrasion. See our special instructions for Victorian-set jewelry care.
